Two core areas characterise the company's business activities. Assion operates as an electronics system house and as a logistics RFID system house. The service portfolio includes PCB layout, assembly (THT/SMD), joining and connecting, mechanical processing, device assembly as well as inspection and test procedures. Products in the RFID identification systems segment include mobile readers, RFID antennas, RFID transponders and stationary read/write devices.

Addressed application scenarios concern animal identification, tracking & tracing, access control and facility management. One example is the ULM environmental management system. It is used for seamless data collection, tracking and documentation of quantity flows. The system was developed for optimising logistics in the field of plastics recycling, but can also be used for other recyclable products.
