Humboldt University Berlin, Institute for Computer Science
The Computer Vision Department of the Institute of Computer Science will be involved in the network project. The know-how covers all aspects of automatic computer vision. Included here are artificial intelligence, machine learning, physics, mathematics, robotics, signal processing, imaging and neurobiology. Projects carried out so far include 3D surveillance with synchronised cameras for the observation of public places and camera-based early pain detection via the automated evaluation of movement and behaviour patterns in horses. The numerous national and international cooperations, among others with the University of Auckland, the University of Colorado and the Technical University of Prague, speak for the globally recognised reputation of the institute and the department.
