The IAB Weimar is a practice-oriented, non-profit research institute with over 30 years of experience in the development of pioneering technologies, materials and processes for the construction industry and related areas of application. More than 120 employees form an interdisciplinary team from various specialised disciplines such as mechanical engineering, building material development, energy, process and measurement technology as well as computer science. There is proven expertise in the development and application of IT-supported measurement systems for data acquisition in laboratory and field tests as well as the downstream application of methods of classical statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence for the analysis and modelling of the collected data. The institute is equipped with state-of-the-art software and hardware, measurement, testing and experimental technology. The institute's own technical centre has various large and small-scale test rigs for testing new technologies and processes.<\/p>\n
