The technological approach is to develop a wearable for real-time monitoring of the brain's electrical activity. The challenges lie in the miniaturisation and customisable placement of the electrodes in the textile base carrier as well as in the artefact-adjusted signal evaluation, for which classic signal processing methods are used and the results are visualised via mobile devices. The application scenario is general anaesthesia with the aim of individual dose optimisation. The development pursues a universal approach in order to be able to treat different species from dogs (> 15 kg) to large animals.
